I'm a composer and game developer who credits all of his work under the alias MR4. It's pronounced "em are for". I was forged a few decades ago in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently reside in Seattle. Most of my music is best described as "Soundtrack Music" but I mix things up whenever the need arises. I’m also associated with Mindfire Games, a small independent video game developer. When it comes to game development, I wear many hats. You can catch me streaming my work on Twitch whether it be music or game production. All of my music can be found on Spotify along with any other major streaming service, or you can just use YouTube. I’ll also point out that my music can be downloaded for free off of this website if you prefer to manage your own music library. If you want to contact me with inquires or just to follow my existence across the internet you may use any of the social links found at the top of this website.

The following music genres are within my natural comfort zone: Electronic (not EDM), Post-rock, Metal, Orchestral/symphonic, ambient. When it comes to music production I accept all challenges that are given to me. I primarily compose and produce just for my own solo work but I'm always open to assisting others if the project strikes my interest. This includes soundtracks, podcasts, song/album production, or anything else that requires the use of audio. I use Studio One as my DAW of choice. Almost all of the instrumentation in my work is done through samplers or virtual instruments either through programming or using midi keyboards. The guitars are the real deal however. I primarily use seven and eight string guitars both clean and heavy!

Game Development is something I have stumbled into rather then something I was originally in pursuit of. I was approached by the head honcho of Mindfire Games to provide music for a video game. Long story short, or rather long story completely glossed over, I am now heavily involved in all things Mindfire. Although music and audio production are my area of expertise it turns out I'm no slouch when it comes to pixel art and general design and development. I don't touch code however. Let it be known, I'm an artist not an engineer. The unique thing about Mindfire Games is that the game engine along with the associated editor used for our projects were created in-house. I personally find this approach very unique and rewarding as there are no instruction manuals or YouTube tutorials, we just have to problem solve it ourselves every step of the way. Currently we are working on an RTS game inspired by the classic RTS games from the late 90s.
