Liner Notes

Production on Electric Shock began at the beginning of 2008 when I first stumbled into composing music using Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software while in high school. I "acquired" a program called REASON and a classmate had recommended FL Studio, so I went back and forth between the two DAWs. I created a large amount of crappy demo tracks as you would expect from anyone touching the keyboard for the first time. I never really had a goal with what I was creating, I was simply having fun while making sounds. It wasn't too long into things that I decided to move away from REASON and FL Studio in favor of Pro Tools. The tracks created in 2008 collected dust throughout 2009 and 2010. In 2011, I decided to select thirteen of the most notable tracks out of my plethora of garbage. I imported the songs into Pro Tools for final mixing, if you even want to call it that, I really had no clue about what I was doing while creating this album. The final product was released on November 26, 2011, as Electric Shock. If you could not already tell I'm not a big fan of this album, it sounds amateur because that is exactly what it is. This is the very first batch of music from someone who had no experience creating music. Everyone had to start somewhere and this is where I started. On a positive note, the tracks "Last Minute" and "Lurking" are not that bad. - MR4
